Establishes unquestionably the paternal link between an alleged father and a child by testing the mother's DNA as well. This level of DNA test offers peace of mind and can be conducted solely by the applicant at home. These DNA tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and inclusion.

Maternity Test

Price: £149.00*

Testing: Child and alleged mother samples

Timeframe: Within 4 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

Establishes unquestionably the maternal link between an alleged mother and a child. This level of DNA test offers peace of mind and can be conducted solely by the applicant at home. These DNA tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99.9% for inclusion.

Multiple DNA Testing

Price: £89.00*

Testing: Second relationship

Timeframe: Within 4 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

If more than one relationship needs to be established, this can be provided at a reduced cost for subsequent tests.

Siblingship Test (brother/sister)

Price: £249.00*

Testing: Two alleged siblings

Timeframe: Within 4 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

This DNA test determines the statistical probability of whether siblings (brothers and sisters) share the same two parents or not. The relationship between alleged siblings (full or half) can be established with 15% exclusion and 90% inclusion conclusiveness.

When the issue of siblingship is in question, the recommended method to determine whether individuals are true biological siblings is to test their parents. In situations where the alleged parents are unavailable for testing, a siblingship DNA test can be performed to analyse the relationship of biological siblings. Including one common parent greatly increases the accuracy of this type of DNA analysis and is recommended if at all possible. If this is not possible, disclosing that siblings share a common mother or father can also lead to more meaningful results.

Y-STR Male Lineage DNA Test

Price: £299.00*

Testing: Two males

Timeframe: Within 4 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

The Y-STR male lineage DNA test is used to determine whether two or more males are related through their paternal lineage. The Y chromosome is passed from father to son and has a relatively infrequent mutation rate, thus it remains the same through many generations.

This DNA test focuses on the Y chromosome and results in a unique Y-STR profile for each male tested. It is important to note that this DNA test will not differentiate between men that are in the same paternal lineage.

For example, if a male child "A" and his alleged half-brother Child "B" (Child "B" having a different mother than Child "A") want to know if they have the same biological father, and they have the same Y-STR DNA profile, it is practically proven that they share the same father. If the profiles do not match, then they do not share the same biological father.

This is just one of many circumstances in which the Y-STR DNA test can be applied.

X-SV Female Lineage DNA Test

Price: £399.00*

Testing: Two applicants with shared maternal lineage

Timeframe: Within 15 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

The X-SV female lineage DNA test is used to determine whether two or more females are related through their maternal lineage, or if male and/or female children have the same biological mother. The Mitochondrial DNA sequence variation is passed from females to their children and has a relatively infrequent mutation rate, thus it remains the same through many generations. (Males do not pass the X-SV they inherited from their mother to their children).

This DNA test focuses on the Mitochondrial DNA and results in a unique X-SV profile for each individual tested. It is important to note that this test will not differentiate women that are in the same maternal lineage or children with the same mother.

For example, if a female Child "A" and her alleged half-brother Child "B" (Child "B" having a different father than Child "A") want to know if they have the same maternal biological grandmother, and they have the same X-SV profile, it is very likely that they are of the same maternal lineage. If the X-SV profiles do not match, then they neither share the same maternal biological grandmother, nor do they share the same maternal lineage.

This is just one of many circumstances in which the X-SV test can be applied.

Court Approved DNA Paternity Test

Price: £289* (plus sampling fee for health professional)

Testing: Child, mother and alleged father samples

Timeframe: Within 5 working days of receipt of DNA samples at our UK office

An applicant seeking to prove a relationship for legal purposes will often be required by the court to provide a DNA profile confirming the relationship. The DNA sampling process is conducted by a health professional and the DNA test results should be admissible in a UK court of law.

This DNA test establishes the paternal link between an alleged father and a child. These DNA tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99.99% for inclusion. Please contact us for more information.

All Court Approved DNA Test requests will be referred to our sister company, Genetic Testing Laboratories who have been accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
